I grew up on the quite tropical island of Kauai and had a lot of time to spend drawing. By the young age of 4 I was already drawing on everything in sight, sometimes even waiting for my mother to get home from shopping so I could use the paper grocery bags to draw on, having long since exhausted any drawing tablets I'd been given.

At 19 I was offered my first full-time art job in Malibu, California working at Bill Wall Leather designing graphics for high-end leather clothing. A year and half later through a bit of lucky networking I landed my first job in the video game industry at Acme Interactive where I worked as a character animator on several titles including Sports Championship Football & Baseball, Cliffhanger, and Batman Returns.Acme

After a couple of years I got offered a job at a promising start up called Paradox Development. This turned out to be a very good move for me. In the next 11 years that I worked at Paradox I had the privilege of working with some of the most talented people in the industry and was given the opportunity to take on lead positions on some very exciting and successful titles, including Lion King: Simba's Adventure, X-Men Mutant Academy 2, X-Men: Next Dimension, and Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks which sold over a million copies.

In 2004 Paradox Development was purchased by Midway Games while we were half way through developing Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks. Being brought into the Midway fold was a great thing for us as a studio since it meant better funding, technology sharing, and many other advantages. I then moved on to work on TNA iMPACT! and Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe for the 'Next-Gen' systems.
